Come and explore with us the hidden beauties of our deep green island. We will make a tour in the inner part of Thassos gazing the wild locations and the amazing view. We will pick you up from your hotel.

Do not forget to charge your camera because you will take many beautiful pictures during the day. Our first stop will be the monastery of “Panagouda” the only men monastery on the island. There monk Epifanios will tell us the history of the monastery and show us the church which was build 1813. You can drink also from the holy water from a spring in the church.

After we will drive to one of the eight active marble mines at about 500m height. We will walk through it admiring the huge marble stones. Our next stop is Katafigio at 940 m. with a fantastic view to Golden Beach. We are going to have a barbeque here with souvlaki, salads, tzatziki, refreshments and cold water from the highest spring of Thassos.

After lunch, we will reach the highest pick of the island at 1206 m., Ypsario. From there, you can see the whole island and its 100 km perimeter, the island of Samothraki, Kavala and sometimes the island of Lemnos. At southwest you can see Mountain Athos. At the north you can spot the main land and the delta of Nestos river.

Our last stop will be the small waterfalls of Maries. There you can taste also pine tree honey and sweets with fruits and honey made by local apiarists. At the afternoon we drive you back to your hotels. At the end of the day you will have a complete image of the inner and outer parts of Thassos, and realize why it is called the Diamond of the North.
